Day one has 45 questions of Linguagens, Códigos e suas Tecnologias (languages and codes) plus 45 questions of Ciências Humanas e suas Tecnologias (human sciences) — 90 objective questions in total.
The redação — an argumentative essay written in Portuguese, scored 0–1000 against four competencies — closes the session, and it must follow the dissertation-argumentative model in standard Portuguese.

Questions
The redação is the Portuguese argumentative essay on day one, scored 0–1000 against four competencies via the dissertation–argumentative model. It is a single text with outsized weight — structure and Portuguese grammar are part of the score.
TRI (Item Response Theory) is the grading model behind the 0–1000 per-area scores: question difficulty and consistency shape how answers contribute, so steady, consistent ability across a full area scores best.
ENEM performance feeds SISU for public university places, and Prouni and Fies support private study financing. The allocation rules and cutoffs change each year — check the current official notices before planning.
